Ukraine cut its crude sunflower oil exports to 40,600 tonnes in August 2005 from 44,900 in July, analysts said on Monday. ProAgro agriculture constancy said exports included 9,800 tonnes sold to Britain, 8,100 to Russia, 5,700 to Switzerland, 3,600 to Italy, 3,500 to Saudi Arabia and 9,900 to other states.
Ukraine had exported about 616,400 tonnes of sunoil between October 2004 and August 2005 compared with more than 800,000 in the same period in 2003/04.
Analysts said Ukraine was likely to export about 650,000 tonnes of sunoil in 2004/05, down from 972,000 in 2003/04.
